WHY VIRTUAL?

Weather and parking challenges, childcare and unexpected schedule changes are in the past!

One in 54 individuals is affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD).  Our team created the Run In 54, a virtual race challenge, so that anyone anywhere can join us in support of friends, family and others who face challenges associated with ASD.

The Run in 54 is a 3-part virtual race series (Rocket Ride, Steel Run, Coast Cruise) consisting of 18 miles each during July, August and September. Participants can register for one series or choose all 3 with a discount!

For those who may be considering this as their first run challenge, remember a virtual race can be run at ANY location. Run, walk, jog, swim, bike or use the treadmill. You can run your race at your PACE.

Participants will receive a virtual race bib and a finisher medal for each race, plus, a BONUS 4th medal for completing all 3 virtual runs during the allotted time frame. With a Virtual run, all miles logged will be documented through the event registration site, RunSignUp. (How do I log miles?)

The Run in 54 benefits the programs and services provided by the Autism Society of Alabama. We continue to navigate this pandemic and alter our steps to meet the needs of autism families in our state looking for resources, to connect, grow and learn. With your help, we can continue a smooth transition of services.
